Description:
Job Purpose;
The Operations Manager will be responsible of formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance. Ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;
  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
  • Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
  • Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability. Prepare and control operational budgets. Control inventory
  • Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals. Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
  • Work Closely with HR Manager to organize recruitment and placement of required key staff. Establish organizational structures. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing and distribution of goods.
  • Monitor performance and implement improvements. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary.
  • Monitor, manage and improve the efficiency of support services such as IT, HR, Accounts and Finance. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions.
  • Manage customer support. Plan and support sales and marketing activities.
  • Ensure that the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
  • Maintain relations with government and other key stakeholders

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field
  • Must have a Minimum of 7 years of experience in Operations in the service sector
  • Must have general understanding of HR and Financial Management
  • Must have worked with multinational company for at least 2 years.
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management
  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
