Job purpose
The Physiotherapist will provide physiotherapy services and apply physiotherapy treatment to patients so as to contribute to their quick rehabilitation and recovery process.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Set priorities in nursing care based on patients’ needs through organizing and planning work.
- Assess and treat patients who have been referred by a Doctor, using apparatus (infra-red, ultra-violet, short-wave and ultrasonic), by applying dressings and embrocation and by exercises
- Organize effective treatment programmes
- Conduct antenatal postnatal exercises for mothers
- Contribute to the rehabilitation of patients by use of splints and other aids, and to fit and adapt surgical appliances individual patients requirements
- Keep a register of patients and treatment received
- Treat the patient with respect, dignity and tact at all times
- Maintain strict confidentiality towards all hospital business
- Careful and proper use of apparatus and correct application of physiotherapy techniques to avoid harm to patients
- Ensure cleanliness in the department avoid the spread of diseases
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Degree in Physiotherapy or related will be a plus
- 3 - 5 years post qualification experience especially in a private Hospital
- Computer Literate
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven working knowledge of all Hospital apparatus, machines and equipment.
