Job Purpose
To provide high quality teaching and learning outcomes in Business Studies. Convey enthusiasm, energy and passions for Business Studies students.Use a variety of teaching methods, differentiated to meet the needs of individual’s learners.
Main Responsibilities
  • Modify teaching for learners with special needs and work with other teaching staff to maximise learner progress.
  • Set and mark homework in accordance with the School homework policy.
  • Track learner’s performance by using Data and help them set targets to improve performance.
  • Ensure learners work and behave well in class and attend to a satisfactory behaviour in accordance with school policy.
  • Set and maintain high standards of learner work in the classroom.
  • Assess learners work in accordance with standards required by IGCSE, Cambridge and Examination Council of Zambia.
  • Maintain a stimulating learning environment and keep classrooms clean and tidy and arrange appropriate displays of learner’s work.
  • Attend subject/Department and staff meetings as required by the school.
  • Engage in Continuous Professional Development programs.
  • Working under general direction of the Head of Faculty adhereing to and helping to develop department resources.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Faculty.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 ‘O’ Levels with Mathematics and English and
  • Degree in Education – Business Studies
  • Cambridge experience is an added advantage. 
  • Should have a valid Teaching Certificate
  • Must have a minimum of three years teaching experience in a reputable learning institution. 
  • Should be able to teach learners from Grade 8 to 12, including IGCSE classes.
  • Should have an interest in learners’ affairs holistically
