Job Purpose
The Assistant Brand Manager will take charge of coordination of advertising campaigns and therefore communicating clearly to all those involved. Understand the Client’s needs and objectives, liaise with them throughout the campaign (often on a daily basis). Manage administrative and campaign work, ensure that advertising projects are completed on time and on budget.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;
  • Create and develop new innovative ways to communicate the company message to existing and new customers.
  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between the Client and the Agency by maintaining regular contact and ensuring that communication flows effectively.
  • Meeting and liaising with clients to discuss and identify their advertising requirements;
  • Writing proper creative briefs and working with the Creative Department to ensure advertising campaign(s) meets the Client’s brief while maintaining brand consistency;
  • Presenting alongside Agency colleagues (Team members/Creative team) the campaign ideas and
    budget to the Client;
  • Researching and working with the Team Lead in the formulation of marketing strategies;
  • Negotiating with Client(s) and Agency staff regarding details of campaigns, present creative
    work to Client for approval and modification;
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns and writing Client reports.
  • Making ‘pitches ’along with other Agency staff to try to win new business for the agency.
  • Proactively track consumer and market insights by conducting consumer research, monitoring
    market trends for the benefit of brands managed.
  • Supervision of the sign off of marketing communication materials; liaising with vendors towards ensuring the designs and/or messages meet the Client’s brand and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensuring all legal/contractual documents are completed, signed and documented.
  • Understand Client’s contracts and billing procedures as well as guarantee timely and accurate invoicing and monitoring of deliverables.
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Responsible for keeping current clients satisfied and delivering exceptional client service on a day-to-day basis.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
  • Carry out other assignments as may be assigned by Team Lead, Head of Department or
    any other delegated authority.
  • Plan and Coordinate Trade Shows, Expos and Exhibitions

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Marketing or any Commercial Field
  • A minimum of 3+ years of marketing experience in Marketing & Brand Management
  • Must have a 1-2 proven years of experience with an Advertising and Brand Activation Agency
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive.
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
  • Understanding of digital marketing, content marketing and analytics
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Must be a member of ZIM
