Job Purpose
The Marketing & Advertising Officer will responsible for events management and the day-to-day management of digital channels, including websites, social media and emails, ensuring that visits, engagement, leads and conversions are optimised in line with the company’s strategic targets.
Summary of Key Responsibilities;
  • Increase the market share through development and implementation of customer retention strategies
  • Ensure core values and brand statements are reflected in all online activity.
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to manage all marketing activities and events
  • Perform market research identifying areas upon which to focus on
  • Create advertising plans and content to reach those demographics
  • Liaise with PR and Sales to organize promotional events or decide on the best advertising material that suit the set goals
  • Conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
  • Organizing and oversee advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV etc.), exhibitions and promotional events
  • Conducting market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness and competition ventures
  • Manage and coordinate all outdoor events
  • Liaising with media, printers and publishers as required and managing the production of marketing materials such as leaflets, flyers, posters and newsletters
  • Attending key conferences to manage booth, do customer interviews and focus groups
  • Monitoring competitor activity and generating leads for products and services.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Marketing or any Commercial Field
  • Must have a minimum of 4 – 5 years of experience strictly in Marketing and Advertising
  • Must have worked for a well-established Outdoor Advertising and Events/PR company
  • Experience working with graphic design software  will be a plus
  • Good understanding of marketing and advertising methods and techniques
  • Must be a member of ZIM
