Job Purpose:
Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives, through developing and implementing customer plans and servicing customers. Implements marketing plans, pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Summary of Key Responsibilities;
  • Grow market share in the Northern Region and beyond borders
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by customer: Volume, Value, Margin, Service Level
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and information for S&OP (sales and demand planning)
  • Develop and manage customer relationships through sales calls, value added activities and business reviews
  • Implement customer plans, unique strategy executions (including sales, brand & channel activations) to deliver market leading value propositions
  • Identify and evaluate competitor strong stores and new business opportunities in line with company strategy, to gain share and grow sales
  • Identify and report on market and competitor information and activity through weekly status reports and monthly sales reports (Insights)
  • Measure and communicate customer performance vs TGI
  • Sell & demonstrate the full range of the products
  • Provide product knowledge training to retailers and end users
  • Ensure good corporate governance and adherence to SOP & business rules
  • Conduct Trade specifications, color advice and support where relevant

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualification and Experience
  • Advanced Diploma / Degree in Sales and Marketing or Related Commercial Field
  • Must have a minimum of 4 yearsSales experience in the Paint Coatings and / or Retail Paint and Hardware Environment
  • Proven geographical knowledge of the Northern Zambia
  • Must have a clean valid driver’s license
  • Must be a member of ZIM
