Job Purpose
The Fertilizer Regional Manager will be responsible for overseeing the strategic management, marketing, distribution, and sales of fertilizer products in the assigned region. Ensure product availability in the region, develop marketing strategies, support field sales teams, and build strong relationships with dealers, cooperatives, distributors, and farmers to grow the fertilizer business sustainably and profitably. Organize farmer meetings, demo plots, and field days to promote product usage.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business plans for the fertilizer product portfolio in the assigned region.
- Oversee product positioning, pricing strategy, and lifecycle management.
- Achieve sales targets by driving growth in both existing and new markets.
- Build, manage, and expand distributor and dealer networks
- Lead, train, and motivate field sales teams
- Drive market penetration, sales growth, and brand visibility
- Achieve regional sales targets and ensure timely collections
- Identify and build relationships with key customers, distributors, and cooperatives.
- Organize farmer meetings, demo plots, and field days to promote product usage.
- Develop and implement regional sales and marketing strategies
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends
- Organize farmer meetings, demonstrations, and promotional campaigns
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and performance analysis
- Coordinate closely with senior management on business expansion plans
- Provide agronomic support and technical training to sales teams, dealers, and farmers.
- Ensure correct usage of products through educational initiatives and field visits.
- Ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Promote sustainable farming practices through product recommendations and training.

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree/Diploma in agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Marketing or related fields.
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of work experience in fertilizer or agrochemical industry (Seeds, Fertilizers, Pesticides, etc.)
- Strong exposure to regional sales management, channel development including Agro dealer management and commercial farms
- Strong understanding of fertilizer products, nutrient management, Pesticides, and crop cycles.
- Proven track record in Agric sales, marketing, or product management.
- Ability to travel frequently to rural areas and farm sites
