Job Purpose
The Relationship Manager will be responsible for Digital Payments and Mobile Money Business growth through effective business development and managing relations with Retail, business and SME customers. Formulating and implementing marketing strategies to attain the set deposits growth, credit growth and profitability targets. Take the lead in acquiring and growing new relationships in the assigned town/Province.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Managing the existing POS relationships and increase the wallet share
- Formulating and implementing marketing strategies to attain the set deposits growth, credit growth and profitability targets.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Manage the development of prudently priced assets, cost effective long term liability with reputable companies and organizations in order to ensure maximum profitability.
- Create, implement, and monitor sales plans and hold daily sales meetings
- Managing the promotion of all bank products and services and resolving of customer queries.
- Identify potential strategic partnerships / relationships to enhance market share
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets for banking products and services.
- Identify and develop a target pipeline and aggressively market for new profitable status customers from the identified target sectors.
- Identify the cross-sell opportunities for retail asset products of the bank.
- Create and maintain healthy connect with the current account team of the bank, make them activate for POS Product.
- Manage key customer relationships through regular contacts and visits by ensuring the effective call program is maintained on all assigned and prospect customers.
- Resolving client issues and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and changes in financial regulations.
- Ensure compliance to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti Money laundering (AML) requirements in all dealings with existing and potential customers.
- Mentoring and training of Sales Executives
- Maintain a high standard of operational control including adherence to Risk Management and Compliance guidelines
- Participate in conducting economic and commercial research to identify potential markets for products and services
- Providing top-class banking relationship which is delivered in a timely, courteous and efficient manner
Required Skills and Attributes
- Excellent people management skills
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Strong credit analysis, documentation and relationship management skills
- Ability to assess customer needs and develop products that suits their needs
- Possess in-depth understanding and knowledge of Retail Banking Products
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Banking or a Business/ Commercial field.
- An MBA will be an added advantage.
- Must at least have a minimum of 6+ years experience in Business Development and Customer Relationship Management in a Commercial Bank or well-established Micro-Financial Institution /Payments Solutions Company
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 Sales experience in payments/ POS financing products
- Proven sales experience in Fintech, Digital Payment, Mobile Point of Sale operations and Key Customer Relationship Management
- Should be well exposed to Retail, Corporate, Business and SME Banking
- Must be fully conversant with Statutory Banking Rules and Regulations.
- Must be ready to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be a member of relevant professional body (i.e., ZIBFS, ZICA, etc.)
