Job Purpose
The Business Development Coordinator will drive lead generation and expanding the business. Conduct market analysis, initiate contact with prospects, generate leads and sales, maintain relationships with existing clients and address their needs, and take charge of developing and actioning sales and marketing strategies for the firm by designing and executing campaigns, setting and monitoring sales targets and performance metrics, and leveraging digital marketing tools for more effective strategies. Coordinating and arranging client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Identify new opportunities through market trends and potential client research.
- Develop a pipeline of leads using tools like social media and networking.
- Identification and pursuit of partnerships with regulators, stakeholders, legal institutions educational institutions and other businesses so as to drive mutual growth and market expansion;
- Draft and present tailored business proposals to potential clients.
- Update and manage the CRM system with accurate lead and sales data.
- Assist the sales team with materials and appointment scheduling.
- Align strategies with other departments for unified company objectives.
- Detail business activities and strategies in regular reports to management.
- Stay updated with industry practices and assist in onboarding new members.
- Work with marketing to create promotional materials for business development.
- Setting and monitoring sales targets and performance metrics, and leveraging digital marketing tools for more effective strategies;
- Plan and manage the firms brand visibility and presence online
- Engage in deal discussions to ensure favorable company terms.
- Provide feedback to shape the broader business development strategy.
- Managing existing client relationships, understanding existing client needs, identifying gaps and overall ensuring client satisfaction through proactive communication and personalized engagement.
- Writing and distributing agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.
- Creating and maintaining client databases and mail lists.
- Tracking submitted proposals and providing feedback to management.
- Representing the firm at business meetings, events, and conferences

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of 3-4 years of experience in business development or sales, marketing role in the service sector
- A minimum of 1-2 years’ work experience in business development or sales and marketing with a Law Firm will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the business and market dynamics.
- Must be self-motivated and results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of current happenings in the business scenario
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends and market conditions
- Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in MS Office Suite or equivalent tools.
- Must have proven experience of managing relations at senior and executive level
- Must be a member of a relevant professional body (ZIM)
