Job Purpose
The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership for the overall management of the business activities Be responsible for driving growth profitability regulatory compliance innovation and customer satisfaction in alignment with the institutions mission of empowering low and middle income individuals and SMEs through accessible financial services
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic and business plans that align with the business long term goals
- Oversees the strategic and daily operations of core and supporting areas of the business and ensures the effective management of risk quality time and cost
- Coordinate the development of key performance goals for functions and direct reports
- Provide direct management supervision of key functional managers and executives in the business unit
- Drive innovation in products and service delivery including digital transformation initiatives
- Oversee business development initiatives to increase the banks customer base and loan portfolio
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities that support financial inclusion objectives
- Lead the development of new financial products and digital services that meet customer needs
- Ensure effective financial planning budgeting and performance monitoring across all departments
- Drive operational efficiency and service excellence across branches and digital platforms
- Ensure full compliance with Central Bank and other regulatory bodies requirements
- Maintain effective internal control systems and oversee enterprise risk management frameworks
- Supervise audits and implement corrective measures to address identified gaps
- Lead coach and motivate departmental heads and branch managers to deliver on organizational goals
- Promote a strong brand image consistent with the institutions values and mission
- Represent the business at industry events public engagements and policy discussions
- Build and lead a high performing management team with clear accountability for results and effective talent and performance management

Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in Finance Accounting and Business Economics
- Must have a at least a minimum of 7 years work experience at senior management experience preferably within microfinance banking financial services
- Keen understanding of the business core and support functions including but not limited to Credit Money Services Finance Operations HR Management and Information Technology
- Demonstrate strong business acumen a deep understanding of the microfinance sector and proven capacity to lead teams toward achieving sustainable result
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
- Must be a member of a relevant professional body
