Job Purpose

The General Manager will oversee all aspects of our real estate operations, including presenting purchase offers to sellers, negotiating sales terms, and appraising property values. Be responsible for the development, maintenance and management of the organization's real estate portfolio to produce an efficient service package, maximizing performance & profitability against pre-agreed targets. Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive sales growth, enhance market presence, and achieve business objectives.
  • Maintenance and management of all of the organization's real estate portfolio to produce an efficient service package, maximizing performance & profitability against pre-agreed targets
  • Develop the real estate portfolio by locating, assessing and presenting information about potential real estate acquisition
  • Conduct comparative market analysis to assess property values, analyzing recent sales data and market trends to determine competitive market prices
  • Ensuring that the team understands the duties of the real estate team and its role within the organisation
  • Maintain responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory, regulations, professional duties, responsibilities and obligations including payments due  and insert as applicable
  • Direct and monitor real estate activities and the overall performance of the team to  the organization to increase efficiency and maximize performance and profit
  • Assist in developing plans for team activities to include strategy to achieve agreed targets
  • Manage and maintain contact with internal and external client/customers and suppliers
  • Present purchase offers to property sellers, ensuring clear communication of sales terms and facilitating negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Negotiate prices and other sales terms, leveraging market knowledge and insights to maximize value for both buyers and sellers.
  • Appraise property values accurately, considering factors such as location, property condition, and market demand.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, support, and training to optimize performance and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, and other stakeholders, representing the organization professionally and ethically.

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Real Estate, Marketing, Business Administration or any Commercial field
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the real estate industry, with a proven track record of success in sales and leadership roles. 
  • Proven understanding of real estate management, requirements and dynamics
  • Experience in presenting purchase offers, negotiating sales terms, and appraising property values.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve goals and exceed expectations.
  • Well-groomed and pleasant personality with excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to drive results in a competitive market environment.
